“Clash on the Bank”

 Using his entirely unique method of applying paint with both paint applicators and palette knives, Martin brings us into a beautiful Autumn scene. The layers and layers of paint applied onto this canvas really draw you into the background, giving it the impression of going on and on. The layers of trees and shrubs, the details in the colors… We love every detail in this piece! Then the Elk are so uniquely colored and layered. Look at the incredible detail in the color scheme on the animals, the color in the antlers, the colors in the hide… The eyes in these animals are completely paint, but when you look at them you would think they are glass! Let’s not forget the water and the splashes, the rocks, the current and water flow. We hope you enjoy the beauty of this piece as much as we have enjoyed creating it!
